MediStore is built around Indian pharmacy rules: GST, drug licence details and scheduled medicines. It helps you keep good records; it does not make your store compliant on its own, and we don't claim any certification.

1. GST

  • Each medicine carries its HSN code and GST rate.
  • Purchases split CGST and SGST, or IGST when the supplier is in another state.
  • Sales bills carry GST, with bill numbers that restart each Indian financial year.
  • Your store's GSTIN is saved on your store profile.
  • GST on your MediStore subscription, when it applies, is shown before you pay and in your payment history.

Filing GST returns stays with you and your accountant.

2. Drug licence details

Your store's drug licence number is saved on your store profile, and each supplier's drug licence number can be saved on the supplier.

3. Schedule H, H1 and X medicines

  • Each medicine records its schedule.
  • When a bill includes a scheduled medicine, the counter screen reminds the person billing to check the prescription.
  • Prescription records and a Schedule H1 register are not in the app yet. Until they are, keep those registers as you do today.

4. Records and audit trail

Stock moves by batch for every purchase, sale and adjustment, and sign-ins and important changes are written to your store's activity log, so you can see who did what and when.

5. Data protection

We handle personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as set out in our Privacy Policy. Our safeguards are described on the Security & Privacy page, and complaints go to our Grievance Officer.

6. What we don't claim

  • We hold no security or quality certification today, and we won't say we do until we have one.
  • MediStore is not an online pharmacy and is not approved or endorsed by any drug regulator.
  • Using MediStore does not by itself make your store compliant with drug, tax or data-protection law. Please check with your own advisers.
